Rosemary (Traüte) Silingas (Engler) passed away at home on March 19, 2022.  She was born in Danzig, Germany on July 1, 1929.  She is preceded in death by he beloved husband Antanas, her parents Paul and Mariea Engler.  Two brothers Ziegfried and Günter, four sisters, Erika, Friedle, Magda, and Ursala.  She is survived by her daughter Linda Lou (Glenn) Mattingly and son Algis (Debra) Silingas, three grandchildren ; Anthony (Rachael) Mattingly, Misty (Scott) Tillema and Mindy (Shawn) Deno.  Eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Harrison, Morgen, Calvyn, Clayton, Jack, Sophia and Tatiana.  One great great grandbaby Madeline.

She was a survivor and our hero from WW2, worked and retired from the Anderson Company in Gary, Indiana.  A true warrior and will be missed greatly.  She will be laid to rest on Wednesday March 23, 2022. There will be a visitation on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel from 10:00am to 12:00 pm with a service at 12:00pm.  Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery friends and family are invited to celebrate her amazing life.
