Robert Velkov

Tuesday February 15, 2022

Robert “Roko” Velkov, age 57, tragically passed away on February 15th, 2022, in the arms of his beloved wife, Jadranka. Robert was born on December 31st, 1964 to late parents Panche and Uranija, in the city of Skopje in the “old country” former Yugoslavia.  He was a big go getter and was always seeking opportunity for a better life. Robert and his wife Jadranka moved to Germany in the late 80s where their first born son Leonard was born. They moved back to Macedonia and in 1996 their second son Petar was born. In 2008 the family moved to the United States and settled in Crown Point, Indiana. Robert worked many different jobs and eventually became a semi truck operator. He was also a semi truck driving instructor for a few years, helping people earn their CDL. He worked long, hard hours to provide for his family and to accomplish his dreams. He loved traveling to many different places with his wife and children, and was frequently on hikes in nature. God’s beautiful landscapes on our planet brought him great joy. He was proud of his Macedonian identity and loved his country. One special thing about him is he always desired to learn more, and never stopped learning. He will be remembered with love for a long time as a loving husband, father, and uncle. Robert is survived by his wife, Jadranka; his son Leonard; his son Petar; his older brother Vasil; his younger brother Marjan; and his youngest sister Zaneta.
