Margaret “Peg” Sullivan, of Bokeelia, Florida (previously of Gary), passed away January 24, 2022 at the age of 84. She was born in Gary, Indiana on April 11, 1937 to Clarence and Doris Gustafson. Peggy graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1955 and was a photographer for many years in Gary. She held a position at a bank for some time before working in the pharmacy at Methodist Hospital for more than 20 years until her retirement. She then moved to Florida and took on miscellaneous jobs to keep busy. She moved to Pine Island to be near her mother and sister and became the resident pet sitter on the island. She absolutely loved animals. She also loved to paint and took opportunities to travel to Italy and Austria with her art group, painting and touring the countryside as she went.
Peggy is survived by her loving sons: Tim (Iva) Sullivan of Valparaiso, and David (Karen) Sullivan of Terre Haute; four treasured grandchildren: Ryan Sullivan, Kate (Ken) Owens, Sam (Hope) Sullivan and Mikaila Sullivan; two cherished great granddaughters: Lennon and Poppy Owens; nephew, Mark (Maria) Tinkle of Monticello; and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her dear sister, Marilyn Clements.
Peggy lived a full life as a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A private graveside service is planned at Calumet Park Cemetery.
