Janet R. Gust (Friend), age 80, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. She is survived by her children: Mark D. Gust and Lori A. Gust; grandchildren: Timothy (Dawn) Gust, Justin (Alex) Gust, Todd Lunsford and Kyle Lunsford; great grandson, Oakley Gust; twin sister, Joy Shaloff and sisters-in- law, Eda Friend and Donna (Charlie) Hiland.

Preceded in death by her husband, David Gust; son, Tim Gust and brother, Earl Friend.

Janet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She and her late husband, David, were long time square dancers for the Buttons and Bows. An avid crocheter, Janet loved attending crochet club with her sister, Joy. She will be truly missed by all who knew  and loved her.
