Ernesto Ornelas, age 57, unexpectedly passed away on January 17, 2022. Ernesto was a member of Local Union 81 for 31 years and was proud to serve on the executive board.

Ernesto is survived by his daughters: Selena and Angelina; brother, Andres Ornelas; sisters: Susana Ornelas, Esperanza (Miguel) Murrillo, Rosie (Dan) Rodriguez; many nieces and nephews; his go to person no matter what time of day or night, Danny Vargas.

Preceded in death by his parents: Andres and Juanita; brothers, Henry, Esteban and Eduardo.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 3-7 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 370 N County Line Road, Hobart, IN.

Funeral Service will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Friday, January 28th, 2022 at 11 AM with Rev. Jaime Perea officiating.
