Deanna (Hoffman) Winquist, age 80, of Valparaiso, IN passed away peacefully at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, IN on Friday, May 13, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Balthasar L. Hoffman, Mother Alene (Blackman) Hoffman, her brothers Alan Hoffman (Judith "Tavenier") Hoffman, and Balthasar (Norma "Jones") Hoffman.

She is survived her brother, Kenneth P. (Madelyn "Cole") Hoffman, sister Rosemary "Hoffman" (Louis) Thomas, three loving children, Patricia (Winquist) Huber, Theresa Winquist, and Christopher Winquist, along with her two Grandsons Kyle and Dalton Winquist.

She was employed at US Steel, she raised her three kids on her own, after 34 years she retired from US Steel to slow down and enjoy the Big Picture, "LIFE!" (POOL SIDE) and to watch her two grandsons grow up to be the fine gentlemen that they have become. She was looking forward to her first great-grandson in July. She will be known and remembered as a warm, loving, and caring person with a huge smile that could light up a room and always a lot of fun. And last but not least, she was a Diehard Notre Dame Fan!! She loved and enjoyed going to the football games and rooting on the "IRISH." We can hear her saying "Go IRISH!"
