Cecelia Rodgers, 93, of Portage, IN, passed away April 10, 2019. She was born in 1925 in East Chicago, Indiana. Her parents were Zygmat and Stella (Czerwinski) Komorkoski, both born in Poland. She is survived by her two children Larry (Sue) and Sharon Rodgers.

Ronald H. Chase, 63, of Chicago, formerly of South Shore and Galien, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 29th 2019. He is survived by his loving mother, Virginia M. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Gabriela Serrano; his two sons, Israel “Alex” Serrano and Angel Serrano; his mother Magdalena Moncada Martinez; siblings; and many friends and extended family. Paul K. Johnson, 91, of Hobart, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2019. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School, in Gary, in 1945, served in the U.S. Army, 2nd Division, in Colorado Springs, CO in 1945-1946. He became a carpenter of Local 1005 and worked at the trade for 40 years, retiring in 1988.

Jerry Loconto, of Hobart, passed away March 5, 2019 at the age of 97. Jerry was an exceptionally talented athlete, playing football for Horace Mann High, and was a skilled softball player, bowler and swimmer as well. In later years, he became an avid fisherman and golfer, and even achieved a hole-in-one (of which he was very proud).
Richard Brooker, age 69, of Hobart passed away January 16, 2020. He is survived by his lovely wife of 50 years Nancy Brooker; Two children Craig (Angela) Brooker and Michelle Brooker (Mike Weis); grandchildren, Cole, Jacob, Gage, and Jeehoon; brother, Clifford (Jennifer) Brooker. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Gloria Brooker.
Rick was the co-owner of Preferred Auto Body. He loved to play golf and enjoyed fishing. Also, he enjoyed gardening and truly loved to nature watch. He will be remembered by his loved ones as a loyal friend who was very witty and such a prankster. He loved to see people laugh and used his infectious personality to bring the fun out in people. Rick and Nancy traveled the world, visiting 6 continents, where they delved into the local culture, cuisine, and history. He was very loving and cherished his family. His positive outlook defined him, and he will be remembered by his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
