William Schipani

William Schipani
William ( Bill ) Schipani age 79 of Crown Point Indiana passed away on February 23, 2020. Bill was the former owner of the Old Mill Pizzeria in Merrillville IN and the Shattuck Avenue Spats in Berkley CA. Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Sarah Schipani Brother John and Sisters Rosie, Fanny and Katie. Bill is survived by the love of his life Judy Schipani and his step children Carmen Luna-Hogan, Christina (Kevin) Mc Queeney, Ben (Amie) Luna and Angela Luna. Grandchildren : Ashley, Joshua, Zachary, Weston (Jackie), Jaclyn and Christian. Brothers: Frank and Jimmy (Lynn) Schipani. The Sharing of Bills Life and Memories will be held at the Avalon Manor Banquet Center 3550 E Lincoln Hwy Merrillville In on Saturday February 29,2020. Family and friends may visit starting at 11 am with a Eulogy at 12 noon followed by a luncheon. Bill was a very caring and loving man that never met a stranger, he will be dearly missed.

Betty Shelton, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2020.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Cynthia Shelton and Deborah (Gary)
Knoll; sisters: Dorothy Sue Scott and Patricia Wothke. Betty is also survived by her
precious cat Baby, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved second family at

Addison Pointe.

Preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 42, years, Jerry D.

Shelton.

Betty was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed participating in activities with
her special friends at Addison Point. Once of her favorite pastimes was fishing
with her husband. Betty will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020, 12:00 p.m. at
Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (7535 Taft St., Merrillville, IN). Pastor Bob Parnell
officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place from

Mihailo Kostur age 77, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2020 with his loving family by
his side.
Mihailo is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mara (Mary); Sons, Eli (Alicia) Kostur and Nenad (Dragana) Kostur; daughter, Nancy (Craigory) Wise; grandchildren, Harry, Luka, Marko, and Aiden Nikolas; sister, Nada (Risto) Lozevski, nephews, Nikola and Jovan; many Kumovi, cousins, relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by parents: Bozo and Andja Kostur.
Mihailo was born in Vrlika Dalmatia, Croatia. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 15. Mihailo graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, IN. He worked as an operator for Arcelor Mittal for 37 years. Mihailo enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, playing bocce ball, many different card games, making homemade wine, following Serbian traditions and spending time with his grandchildren. Mihailo was a member of St. Elijah Cathedral in Merrillville, Indiana, as well as the Chetnik organization.

Funeral Service will be held directly at St. Elijah Cathedral, 8700 Taft Street, Merrillville IN on Saturday, February 22nd at 10:00 Am with V. Rev. Aleksandar Novakovic officiating.
Friends may meet with the family on Friday February 21st at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel,7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, from 5-8 PM. Pomen Service at 7 PM.

Korey Izynski

Korey B. Izynski, age 24, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020. He is survived by his mother, Susan Yamashita; twin sister, Kayla M. Izynski, brothers: Christian Izynski and Auston Stewart; nieces: Leah Izynski and Yessinia Izynski and nephew, Yezekiel Owens; aunts: Stephanie Cunningham and Ginger LaCoss and uncle, Steven Yamashita. Korey is also survived by the love of his life, Liz Wilkerson and her son, Ashton.

Maria A. Delgado

Maria A. Delgado was a native of Gary, Indiana.  She was the ninth child of ten children.

Maria was employed by the Methodist Hospital until her health began to fail.  She held the position as an MRI Imaging Clerk.  She served as an active member for the Lupus Foundation of Northwest Indiana as well as an active member of the Kidney Foundation.  She also volunteered and assisted with raising donations for fundraising events.

Douglas K. Clark

Douglas K. Clark, age 67, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 20, 2020. He is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda (Daniel) Colon; cherished grandchildren: Austin, Alexander and Adam; brothers, Joel (Chris) and Scott Clark. Doug is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Preceded in death by his parents: Douglas and Reeva Clark; wife, Helenann Clark and brother, Larry Clark.
Douglas retired from the Lake County Sherriff’s department after 25 years of service. He was an avid gun collector and loved going to sniper training and cooking for the guys. Douglas’s daughter and grandchildren were his world. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gilbert (Galvez) Navarro

Gilbert (Galvez) Navarro, age 80, passed away on January 14, 2020

He was born in East Chicago, Indiana on February 25, 1939 to Fredricko and Otilia Galvez.

Gilbert graduated from Edison High School in 1958 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a store manager for MAYS department store in the seventies and then went on to work at Bethlehem Steel mill in the Coke Plant until he retired in 2001. In his spare time he loved flipping houses and being a Landlord to many tenants throughout the years.

Gilbert had a great passion for the Chicago Cubs, horse racing, boxing, and the music of the late fifties.

Gilbert is preceded in the death of his father Fredricko, his mother Otilia and his brother Fred.

Gilbert is survived by his daughters: Michele (Navarro) Norwood & Theresa (Navarro) Brisentine.

His grandchildren, Alaina Vazquez, Allie Brisentine, and J.D. Brisentine.

Gilbert had many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 2 pm – 6 pm at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel

(7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, Indiana) There will be a private, graveside service for just the family on Monday, January 20, 2020at noon, at Calumet Cemetery.

Robert Cirak, age 72, passed away on January 8, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda I. Cirak; children: Valerie (Chad) Nesmith and Michael Cirak; grandchildren: Brittany, Skylar, Alexis, Hunter, Analyse, Gavin, Kendra and Greenlee; longtime best friend, Don Fife.
Preceded in death by his parents: Steve and Mary Cirak; siblings: Patty, Richard, John and Marcy.

Robert was a proud US Army Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Arcelor Mittal after 48 years of employment. Robert loved going to the movies and riding his bicycle. He was a dedicated family man who would help anyone in need. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be truly missed by all.
