Phyllis Joy Biancardi, age 71, of Merrillville, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She is survived by Tony, her beloved husband of 54 years; her loving children: Rebecca (Lee) Driver of Valparaiso, Ann Faulkner of Valparaiso, Fred Biancardi of Merrillville, and Anthony (Toni) Biancardi of Burns Harbor; her treasured grandkids: Ashley, Brenda, Stephen, Antonio, Cheyenne, Travis, Katarina, Daniel and Angel; her cherished great grandkids: Alex, Zach, Jacob, Evan, Emma, Kaden and Sebastian; brothers: Phillip, Bill, and Rick; sister Patty; a host of in-laws; and her darling fur-baby Diesel.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Althea and Silas Shirley; her dear daughter Pamela; and her brother, Bob Shirley.
Phyllis loved being outdoors, often going on hunting trips with her husband, and she enjoyed visiting family in Wisconsin. Her and Tony’s property in Bedford, Indiana was among her favorite places to be – second only to anywhere her family was gathered. She enjoyed scrapbooking and crocheting and will always be remembered for the love that she put into her projects. She adored collecting bells and angel figurines, and had an extensive movie collection as well.
She was a tried and true Cubs Fan and was blessed to have been able to watch as they won the coveted World Series pennant.
More than anything else, Phyllis will be forever remembered for the enormous love she had for her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 13 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. All services held at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery. Please observe all social distancing guidelines, masks are required for all services.
