Floyd E. Chandler, age 69, of Merrillville, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Beverly Chandler. Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Marlene Chandler; children, Melanie (Chris) Paramantgis, and Justin (Shannon) Chandler; grandchildren, Eleni and Ruby Paramantgis; siblings, Byron (Karen) Chandler, Judy Wickhorst, Eddie (Patty) Chandler, Rita Mayden, Paul (Pearl) Chandler, Andy Chandler; Brothers-in-law, Stan (Diane) Gaskey and Rob Gaskey; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Floyd was proud to be a Marine veteran. He was also a retired roofer. He was known as the “Mayor of Savannah Ridge subdivision.” He enjoyed shooting pool with friends, watching movies and TV and he cherished spending time with his family and friends. He will be so deeply missed by so many. May his memories live in our hearts forever.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:30 pm. Funeral services and Military Honors will begin promptly at 4:30 pm at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel (7535 Taft St. Merrillville IN) Pastor Dana Cagle officiating.
