Desiree Lynn Hansen, age 59, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Desiree could always be found with a smile on her face near water, in the sand or under the sun. She enjoyed boating, spending a day at the beach and traveling to Mexico. A day of shopping was always welcomed, too. Desiree was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of The American Legion Post 502, The Marquette Yacht Club in Portage, and The Izaak Walton In Portage.
Desiree was preceded in death by her grandparents- Joseph and Esther Richmond and Basil and Lillian Fernandez.
She is survived by her loving husband George Hansen; parents, Patsy Meskow, Bob (Kathy) Fernandez; siblings Joseph (Toni) Fernandez, Diane (Kevin) McAndrew, Renee (Dino) Bernardi, and Eric (Janet) Fernandez; many caring in-laws; several nieces and nephews and supportive extended family and dear friends.
Desiree will be deeply missed by all that knew her and her memories will forever be etched in our hearts.
