Vance E Crowder, age 76, of Merrillville, IN passed away on July 8, 2020. He was born in French Lick, Indiana. Vance retired from Arcelor Mittal after 49 years of dedicated service. Vance was also a faithful member and Past Master of M. L. McClelland Lodge No 357 of Hobart, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Estel & Ruth Crowder; brothers Robert Crowder, Charles Crowder and sister Doris Lindsey.
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Crowder; Two beloved sons, Chris (Bonnie) Crowder; Brent (Crystal) Crowder; 6 cherished grandchildren, Cheryl Crowder, Nick Crowder, Kendyl Cooley, Madalynn Crowder, Bailey Crowder and Braxton Crowder; brothers Harold Duane Crowder, James Crowder, and sisters Margie Eastridge and Carolyn Dexter; also many other family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
Vance enjoyed traveling with his wife; fishing and hunting with his sons and grandson, spending time with friends and family on the lake on his pontoon boat and he enjoyed long rides on his golf cart.
Visitation will be Monday, July 13, 2020 from 11am to 1pm at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft St, Merrillville with a Masonic Ceremony beginning at 1230pm and Memorial Service at 1pm. Pastor John Starr officiating. Entombment Gracelend Cemetery, 1505 Morthland Drive, Valparaiso, IN. Vance will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all.
