John Paul Clabeau, better known as Jack, passed away March 31, 2020, in Crown Point, Indiana.
He will be tremendously missed by Constance “Connie”, his beloved and devoted wife of nearly 32 years. He leaves also to cherish his memories, brothers: David Martin (Lisa) Clabeau and Anthony Michael Clabeau; sisters: Shirley Ann Aprile and Mary Grace Arnold; sister-in-law, Susan Dodds; nephews: Christopher and Jason Dodds, Anthony Romano Clabeau, Thomas Arnold and Evan Aprile; nieces: Emily Arnold and Jeanette Aprile.
Jack was born in Buffalo, New York, to John Alphonsis Fredrick and Delores Clabeau and raised by his beloved Aunt Ellen. After graduation from high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon completion, he continued his education, ultimately earning an MBA from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jack spent most of his years traveling, visiting as many corners of the world as he could with Connie. Many of their trips included a round of golf. It was a great thrill for him to play the oldest and most beautiful links. He loved being outdoors and especially tending to his vegetable garden.
Jack will always be remembered for his zest of life, fierce love of his wife, family and friends, along with his optimism and determination. Even as he was battling illness, his focus was always on Connie and getting healthy so that they could begin planning their next adventure. He was a real trouper and will be fondly missed and remembered.
Funeral services and entombment will be private. A Celebration of Life in Jack's honor will be planned at a later date.
