Suicide prevention, as an umbrella term, involves the collective efforts of local citizen organizations, of health professionals and of related professionals to reduce the incidence of suicide.

Did you know that there is one death by suicide in the US every 12 minutes, according to the CDC?  Find out more facts here.

Every life is valuable and is a gift from God. We believe that the more people can recognize the early warning signs of suicide, the better we can help those who struggle with that temptation. It is our hope that by this 5K Run, and other efforts, we can help our community realize the realness of suicidal thoughts and be cognizant of where to find help.

If you or anyone you know wrestles with thoughts of suicide, firstly know that the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and that your life is meaningful and necessary on this earth. You can also call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255
