Israel, lovingly referred to by close friends and family as Isra, was born and raised in La Moncada, Guanajuato, Mexico and later moved to the United States. He married Gabriela and they raised their two sons in Northwest Indiana. Isra was a proud member of Laborer’s Union Local 5. He loved spending time with family and was an exceptional host, always making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. He enjoyed good seafood and playing music throughout his home. His favorite pastime was playing with his two sons, always up for a bike ride, a movie night, or spending time outdoors. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father.
Isra was a devout member of the Catholic church. In Hebrew, the meaning of his name is “may God prevail,” a name that is extremely fitting for who he was as a person. Isra was an incredibly kind and gentle individual who allowed his faith to lead him. He was patient, loving, and never hesitated to help those in need. There is no doubt that God indeed did prevail in blessing him and guiding him through life.
Isra will be remembered for his kind, gentle, and loving heart. His cheerful spirit and playful smile will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, strongly loved, and forever remembered.
